Deezer, a global music streaming platform, has expanded its My Deezer Year 2024 experience, offering a full 366 days of listening stats to its subscribers. Initially launched on November 19, 2024, the feature provided users with customizable and shareable insights summarizing their listening habits throughout the year. The expanded version, which includes a full year of streaming stats from January 1 to December 31, offers a comprehensive view of users’ listening habits. The success of the original My Deezer Year 2024 experience was attributed to a 27% increase in user engagement and a 75% surge in social media sharing compared to 2023.
The expanded version is more reminiscent of Apple Music’s Replay, which provides monthly statistics and a regularly updated playlist alongside a specified launch day. Deezer’s success comes after a strong year of growth, despite replacing their CEO in September. The platform’s success is attributed to strategic partnerships and alternative revenue streams, highlighting Deezer’s ambition to differentiate itself in a competitive market dominated by giants like Spotify and Apple Music.
